One Week Before Treatment
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements unless medically necessary
This includes aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and turmeric
Avoid alcohol and smoking, which can increase the risk of bruising
Three Days Before Treatment
Avoid dental work, vaccinations, or other medical procedures
Stop using active skincare near the treatment area, including retinol, glycolic acid, and exfoliants
Hydrate well and maintain a healthy diet
Day of Treatment
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
Eat a light meal before your appointment
Let your provider know if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, have had recent illness, or are on antibiotics or steroids
Avoid wearing hats or anything tight around the face or forehead if receiving Botox or filler

Do not lie down for at least 4 hours
Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas
Refrain from wearing hats, helmets, or headbands that apply pressure
Avoid makeup or skincare on the treated area for 4 hours
No strenuous exercise, alcohol, or heat exposure (sauna, hot tub, hot yoga) for 24 hours
Avoid facial treatments or massages for 2 weeks
Results begin within 3 to 5 days and continue to improve for up to 14 days
If a touch-up is needed, wait a minimum of 2 weeks before scheduling
After Your Appointment
Apply a cold compress gently to reduce swelling
Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the area unless directed
Sleep on your back with your head elevated the first night
Avoid alcohol, salty foods, heat exposure, and intense exercise for 24 to 48 hours
Do not apply makeup or skincare to the area for 4 to 6 hours
Mild swelling or bruising is common and should subside within a few days
Avoid facials, dental work, or massages for 2 weeks
Do not schedule other facial treatments for at least 2 weeks unless approved
Full results are visible once swelling subsides, usually within 7 to 14 days

Massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days
